Sapphire is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam McArthur as an Adviser to its Board of Directors.
Sam is an experienced business leader with a track record of leading both high-growth and turnaround businesses across a diverse range of sectors, including banking, manufacturing, venture capital, importation and wholesaling. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a consistent commitment to building high-performing teams and cultivating cultures that enable sustainable business success.
Sam brings a wealth of senior leadership experience to Sapphire, is currently a Director of Schilthorn Partners and Praetaura Growth VCT PLC. He previously served as a Partner at Praetura Investments, one of the UK's leading alternative asset managers. Earlier in his career, Sam served as Chief Operating Officer at Puma Capital Group, a specialist provider of tax-efficient investment solutions, where he played a key role in growing the business across a range of investment offerings, including Venture Capital Trusts, Enterprise Investment Schemes and Inheritance Tax Services. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer of a wholesale and distribution business and was an Associate Director at KBC Financial Products, working with funds of hedge funds, family offices and private banks. Sam holds a Master's in European Business from ESCP Business School. His deep expertise across the investment and operational landscape will be a significant asset to Sapphire's board as the firm continues to grow its early-stage venture capital platform.
